Hello and Happy New Year!

We start 2026 by ending our fan translation of the Louie the Rune Soldier novel series, because the fan translation of the final volume of the series, Sword of Farlam 8: Rune Soldier in the Kingdom of Magic, is now complete and available at our fan translations page!

With this, all of the Louie the Rune Soldier novels have become available in English. Who would have ever thought that would happen? A big thanks again to Gilgamesh108 for his time consuming effort in translating all 21 volumes. A little shout out to Ciaran Hillock as well, who fan translated volume 1 back in 2015.

Besides the novels, we have also made available all three audio drama episodes, and the final two volumes of the Louie the Rune Soldier manga (1999), so check those out as well.

Official releases include ADV Manga's releases of manga volumes 1-4 and the entire anime TV series.

After twenty years of waiting the Louie the Rune Soldier manga series has finally been completed!

Over twenty years ago, North American publisher ADV Manga acquired the rights for the Louie the Rune Soldier manga series, but only published volumes 1-4 of six in total. According to an interview with John Ledford of ADV, this was because their license had expired (and it probably didn't sell enough to renew it). Their translation of volume 4 was published in 2005.

Now, twenty years later, we are happy announce we have finished our fan translation of volume 6 (after having completed volume 5 last year). You can find the fan translation at our fan translations page.

As always with these manga, it was very tedious and very time consuming to make this. From translating (30 hours or so), to removing the text from the original Japanese version, to adding the translation, as well as adding SFX text. Also, creating the cover in the ADV style was quite a time consuming task. All in all about 150 hours were put in this. So, we hope readers will enjoy volume 6 of Louie the Rune Soldier.

Quick notice: the remain consistent with the ADV Manga releases we decided to not use names and terms standardized on the wiki and previous fan translations, if they were not the same as those used by ADV. We think this improves the reading experience of those who've read the four ADV releases. Some examples: Myrii is called Mylee; the Magicians' Guild is called the Sorcerers' Guild and Orphan is called Ohfun.

The fan translation of Crystania RPG Replay: Legend of the Uncharted Land has finally been completed. Credits to Gilgamesh108 for the translation.

Earlier this year the translations of all seventeen Crystania light novels had been completed, however, the story of Crystania itself, had not. The light novel series was cancelled one novel shy of its completion.

For this reason the final volume of the Crystania RPG Replay series has been translated. The light novel series had mostly been adapted from the Crystania RPG Replay series, and this volume would've served as the basis for the light novel series' final volume. With the fan translation we hope readers will find some sort of conclusion to the Crystania saga.

Seven Seas Entertainment has released an audiobook edition of their 2017 translation of the Record of Lodoss War: The Grey Witch novel!

So they haven't given up on Lodoss yet...

At long last, after a long, repetitive struggle, the fan translation of Sword World Peraperâs is finally ready. Many thanks to Haruki for the very well-done translation!

It was mega tedious to get all the text in the text balloons, frustrating to redraw images that were once covered by text, and the cover was a major challenge too having to redraw so much image that was lost by the original Japanese text.

The soundtrack was released on three albums, all released separately in 1998. I hope to be able to upload the second and third albums too in the near future. The soundtrack was composed by Kaoru Wada.

After weeks of working on it, the next (and maybe last) manga fan translation is finally finished! The manga that was chosen this time was Sword World SFC Comic: Lacquer-black Curse!

The original manga was released in August 1994 during a "mediamix" release of Sword World products (the Sword World SFC videogame, the soundtrack of the videogame, a promotional single by Wink, and a four single CD with a converation with Hitoshi Yasuda). Group SNE is credited with the story of the manga, while Kotoni Shiroishi is credited as the illustrator. The videogame and manga are based on the two-volume light novel Sword World Novel: Island of the Dead God.

The audio drama album Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight is now available at the wiki's YouTube channel!

Not to be confused with the anime of the same name, the audio is split into three segments, each with their own main character (Spark, Parn and Little Neese). Written by Katsumi Hasegawa and Yoshimichi Hosoi and released in 1998. It's called "Drama Album 1", but a Drama Album 2 was never made.

The Welcome to Lodoss Island! soundtrack will be uploaded in the coming days to the wiki's YouTube channel! This is one of the rarest Forcelia soundtracks out there so I'm pleased I got my hands on a copy.

Welcome to Lodoss Island! was a movie released in April 1998. The soundtrack, composed by Yusuke Nakamura, came out that same month. Welcome to Lodoss Island! also spawned a 3-volume manga series and appeared briefly at the end of each Chronicles of the Heroic Knight episode.
