Astar (アスタール, Asutāru) is the elder brother of Pirotess. He began his intervention with humans after Beld declared himself Emperor of Marmo. On behalf of the dark elven people, he served Beld in battle, offering his skills as a shaman.
After Beld’s death, Astar still served the Marmo military. When Ashram sought the Scepter of Domination, Astar was one of the company who joined him. Though his intentions were not entirely loyal to Ashram, nor were those of most of his companions, as they traveled together, the entire gang grew to admire Ashram.
At Fire Dragon Mountain, Astar faced off with the high elf Deedlit as Ashram delved deeper into the cave. He and Deedlit both summoned king spirits, but it was Astar who succumbed and died at the hands of Deedlit. His death would lead Pirotess to find Ashram to avenge him, only to learn of his loyalty to Ashram and fall in love with the knight.
