Dwarves, the Fae of the Earth, are stout humanoids. They are shaped like barrels, most are muscular but not agile, and almost all dwarves are bearded.
The Dwarves settled in Lodoss thousands of years ago and established two great subterranean kingdoms. The Stone Kingdom to the south in Moss and the Iron Kingdom in the north, in Alania. However, they have an expansive network of tunnels that runs throughout the underground of the entire island.
Dwarves live longer lifespans than humans, some have been known to reach the age of five hundred. They have enhanced night vision and can even see infrared. While they cannot use spirit magic like most of the other Fae, they are excellent craftsmen, capable of producing items far beyond the ability of any human or sprite. Though they cannot use magic, some do become priests, and learn how to use holy magic, usually they gravitate toward the War God Myrii.
Dwarves that turn to the dark side become Goblins (See: Dark fae).
