A Midsummer Crisis is the eleventh episode of the Louie the Rune Soldier manga and the first episode of the third tankōban in the Louie the Rune Soldier manga series.
Synopsis[]
The weather has been strange lately, and the elf Celecia has decided to ask Louie and the three girls for help. Meanwhile, Melissa has decided to acknowledge Louie as their hero, but when Merrill and Genie ask her why, she can't really substantiate her decision. She thinks of creating an ordeal for Louie, something involving a dragon, but then Celecia walks in and asks for help, but the girls are reluctant to accept Celecia's request. They're worried Louie will immediately accept Celecia's request when he comes back, so they begin hatching a plan.
Elsewhere, Ila tells Louie about a certain monk named Banarl who is trying to build a weather control device and that he's almost finished. The project is sponsored by Ila's father. Ila asks Louie for help, but he understands he may need the help of a shaman to fight a monk. He visits the three girls, and finds Celecia tied up by them. He asks her for her help and she gladly accepts.
