Episode 16 (Rune Soldier anime)

The Conspiracy of the Darkness (闇の中の陰謀, yami no naka no inbō) is the sixteenth episode of the Rune Soldier anime tv series.

Summary[]

　Urged by Merrill, the team heads to a ruined estate of the Corwell family to search for treasure. There, they meet Isabel and her team. The swordsman, Jakinson, recounts some history to discredit Merrill's claim, but the two teams decide to investigate anyway, hoping to gain some adventure from the outing. They find it in spades. The adventurers fight their way through hordes of monsters to the heart of the ruins' basement, where they discover a farm for magical creatures, including a door emulator and a treasure chest emulator. The ancient magic, said to be lost ages ago, is very much alive and well – and very deadly. The parties end up in a room with jars with magical organisms inside them that are used to creature the magical creatures. Louie proposes to kill all magical organisms and destroy the machinery and everyone agrees. A person is operating the machine and when he notices the adventurers, he uses a teleportation spell to flee.

　Elsewhere in the country, Lord Dardanel holds a banquet. Crown Prince Littler is also present. Later, he meets with Master Foltess, who informs him what the adventurers did in the ruins’ basement. Dardanel hands him another tome and tells him to continue his work. Dardanel also meets with Lily of Isabel’s group.
