The Folklore of Kardis is the first episode of the fourth Chronicles of the Heroic Knight manga volume and the eighteenth episode overall.
Synopsis[]
To the south of Lodoss lies a small island called Marmo, where Kardis, the goddess of destruction is wasting away. During the War of the Gods, the island of Lodoss was still connected to the main continent of Alecrast. Marfa, the goddess of creation, and Kardis, the goddess of destruction and madness, were facing off. Marfa had three ancient dragon lords serving her, while Kardis had five dragon lords serving her. Both did not survive their duel. It is said Marfa collapsed in what is now known as Alania, while Kardis collapsed on Marmo. Marfa feared that Kardis' wickedness may spread to other lands, so she used the last of her strength to separate Lodoss from the continent.[1]
Kardis rests on Marmo, concludes Wagnard after reading the above from a book. With Kardis' resurrection his wish will be fulfilled.[2]
