The Cage is the first episode of the fifth Chronicles of the Heroic Knight manga volume and the twenty-fourth episode overall.
Synopsis[]
Neese wakes up on a bed in a dark room, in the presence of two servant women. She recalls being transferred here by Wagnard's magic. She asks the women to light the room, but notices something is off about them. Wagnard appears and tells Neese she is in the underground palace of Kardis, the goddess of destruction. Neese asks if she has been brought here to resurrect Kardis, Wagnard replies it will take some time. Neese tries to undo Wagnard's spell on one of the female servants, but this results in the woman turning to ash. Wagnard takes his leave, and tells Neese to get ready to sacrifice her mind and body for Kardis.[1]
