For Whom? is the third episode of the fifth Chronicles of the Heroic Knight manga volume and the twenty-sixth episode overall.
Synopsis[]
Aldonova wakes up on board the Marmo ship and recalls how he got there. Jinn, the king spirit of the wind, destroyed their ship and Aldonova managed to swim to the Marmo ship and begged Jiba to take him to Neese. Jiba says he'll do so if they can throw ten knives at him, which Aldonova accepts. Jiba wants to throw the tenth himself, but before he does so he asks Aldonova if he's willing to die for Neese, and Aldonova replies "yes." Jiba throws the knife into Aldonova's forehead, killing him.[1] However, after being brought to Jiba's chamber, Aldonova wakes up, apparently revived by Jiba using the Staff of Life.[2]
In Kanon, Spark tells Parn he's going to Marmo. Parn thinks Spark is being reckless, but Spark counters by asking what the old Parn would've done in this situation. Parn remains speechless. The two end up sparring. Parn says Kanon's port city of Rood needs to be liberated before going to Marmo. With Marmo's main force focussing on Valis, he believes it's a good time to make a move on Rood and asks Spark for his assistance, which Spark accepts.[3]
In Alania, King Kashue has razed Alan and captured Duke Raster and has him executed. Together with Slayn, he goes to Alan's ruined Academy of Sages. Slayn believes they might find something on Wagnard in the ruins.[4]
