A Dark Plan is the second episode of the first Chronicles of the Heroic Knight manga and second episode of 38 episodes on the Chronicles of the Heroic Knight manga storyline.
Synopsis[]
Wagnard is attempting to resurrect the Goddess of Destruction. In Flaim, Spark is ashamed of failing to guard the stolen treasure. People suspect a large battle, and a final battle with Marmo, is approaching.[1] In response to the dark elves' theft, various knights are assigned to a number of forts around the area, but Spark is not among them. He then meets Garrack, a mercenary, and Leaf, a half-elf warrior.[2] Parn also arrives, and takes Spark with him for a training session. During the session Parn recognizes Spark's talent.[3] He tells Spark to never forget who he is and to not become someone who simply carries out his duty.[4]
Meanwhile, Aldonova wonders why the dark elves took only one treasure: the Soul Crystal Ball. Later, he, along with Greevus, also join Spark's party.[5] Parn and Deedlit leave Flaim for Kanon to prepare for the final battle with Marmo. Spark and his party are assigned to head south to retrieve the stolen treasure. The identity of this treasure at this point is still, purposely, hidden from Spark. Unbeknown to the party they are followed by a cloaked individual.
