A Traveler from the Elf World II is the second episode of Deedlit’s Tale and the second episode of “Choices”, the first book in the Deedlit’s Tale manga series.
Summary[]
Unrest is beginning to spread throughout the village of Zaxon. A meeting is being held with the mayor of Zaxon and several villagers, including Deedlit, Parn and Slayn. Slayn tells that Zaxon has reached a critical stage, but if they get through it, the Duke of Rastar shouldn't bother them for some time. Parn suggests to attack the enemy, rather than wait for them to strike first.
Estas, standing next to Deedlit and watching the discussion from a distance, predicts nobody has the courage to follow Parn's plan. Deedlit agrees. Some people are saying the Independence Movement is to blame for the current situation. The meeting ends without a decision.
That night, Deedlit wakes up from a scream and decides to investigate. Estas tags along. The scream came from Leylia, who found the mayor of Hanam at the gate. Attached to the mayor is a letter from Alania, telling Zaxon to surrender, and deliver the heads of Slayn and his followers. If not, the whole village will die. Slayn decides to share the letter with the villagers in another meeting, to maintain their trust. During the meeting, Parn proposes to continue to fight Raster's men outside the village. Others oppose and wish to submit to Raster. Parn tells the villagers of his fight against the goblins five years ago. Slayn was the only one from the village to go with him then, but Parn believed it was the right choice. He will make that some choice again now.
Back in Deedlit's home, Estas implies he loves Deedlit by saying he hopes he will return to the forest with Deedlit. As do the other high elves in the forest.
