Chain Reaction is the third episode of the sixth Chronicles of the Heroic Knight manga volume and the thirty-second episode overall.
Synopsis[]
Spark and the others, wearing robes, are trying to sneak into Conquera. From one of the Marmo they learn that an attack on Marmo is about to happen.[1]
In Castle Conquera, Jiba, with Aldonova, walk into the dark elf Luzeev. Luzeev orders his men to lock Aldonova in the dungeon and get him to tell what he knows about Wagnard and Jiba. Before Aldonova is taken away, Jiba whispers to him that the ceremony is tomorrow night and that Aldonova should use his powers to stop it.[2]
With Ryna's thief skills, Spark and the others manage to get into Castle Conquera's dungeons. Wagnard recalls the days when he met Jiba. A dark elf woman holding infant twins came to him on a stormy night. Since twins share a split soul, their life expectancy is extremely short. Wagnard saved Jiba, by summoning a high demon who devoured Jiba's twin sister's soul. Then, a pact was formed. In exchange for Jiba's life, the high demon would come to possess it. This caused the two souls—Jiba's and the demon's—to merge, sparing Jiba's life. Jiba says he doesn't appreciate how Wagnard saved his life, as it put a huge burden on him.[3]
Spark and others are spotted and have to fight, which makes Aldonova, locked in a dungeon cell, aware of their presence.[4]
