The Land of the Gods is the third episode of the Legend of Crystania manga and the third episode of the first tankōban in the Legend of Crystania manga series.
Synopsis[]
After climbing The Gods’ Wall, Redon and the others find themselves in a dense forest. There, they find a building they believe to be a temple of a snake god, which triggers Redon to believe there must be humans living in Crystania.[1] The party's arrival to Crystania has not gone unnoticed.
The group settles down near a river to eat and rest. Aderishia reminds Redon to remember his father's words; "don't avenge me". Redon says he is not in Crystania for revenge, but to become stronger with help from the gods. At that moment a humanoid lizard attacks them by surprise and their female leader, Rio, reveals herself.[2] Redon is happily surprised to see a fellow human, but Rio is only here to kill Redon and the others; "the intruders".[3]
Elsewhere, on a mountain overlooking the forest, Boakes and Jenoba are looking for a certain Sheru, but have difficulties finding her. In the forest, Rio transforms into a humanoid snake and does battle with Redon. When Aderishia uses magic of the god of knowledge Rahda, Rio and her gang flee the scene.[4] The gods of Crystania, Rumiss, Feness, Bruza and Urus, having sensed Rahda's presence due to Aderishia's magic, speak of this may be being the greatest disturbance Crystania has ever seen and want it dealt with quickly. Another god, Barbas, opposes the idea and wants the intruders to be led to his castle.[5]
Redon and the others hear sound coming from nearby bushes. When Redon inspects the bushes, he finds an injured dark elf.
