The Enchanted Pendant is the third episode of the Sword World: Peraperâs manga.
Synopsis[]
Bit, a young boy from the slums, is made fun of by other kids because he believes in a story that his mother told him; that the witch on the pendant he wears around his neck will come to life and save him if need be. This reminds Bellecana of a story her mother, Wyndia, used to tell her about her stuffed toy Big Boo—he is actually a knight and he is always looking after her. But when her mother passed away, Big Boo was just a lifeless stuffed toy and not the knight she needed then.
Bellecana coldly tells Bit that the pendant story is a lie, and Bit emotionally runs off. Mallough tells Bellecana parents usually tell "lies" like that for a reason, and then chases after Bit and eventually finds him clinging on to a rope in a well. He has lost his pendant, which lies on the bottom of the well. Mallough urges Bit to climb higher to within Mallough's reach, but Bit, having lost faith in the pendant, has no motivatioh left to climb. Suddenly Bellecana arrives and uses her magic to get Bit and the pendant out of the well. Bit asks Bellecana if she is the witch of his mother's stories, but Bellecana says that witch is always with him in his pendant.
