The Unbreakable Life is the seventh episode of the Legend of Crystania manga and the second episode of the second tankōban in the Legend of Crystania manga series.
Synopsis[]
Rio is ready to attack Redon and the others, but Redon doesn't understand why they have to be dealt with just because they're outsiders. Rio explains that any intruder is a "disturbance" to the Cycle that governs Crystania. Redon doesn't understand why change is viewed as something bad here. Without change the land will stagnate. The two engage in a duel until Boakes tells them to stop. He has approved of the Redon and the others' existence in Crystania and if Rio does not, she'll have to consider the Fang of the Animal as her opponent as well.[1] Redon offers his hand to Rio, as a request of approval. At that moment, Raifan notices the spirits have gone quiet, the image of Barbas appears on the horizon and a huge explosion occurs in the mercenaries' fort. Rio is about to fall in a crack in the earth caused by the explosion, but Redon manages to grab her hand at the last moment. She calls Redon naive. In her mind she says that is probably why he should exist in Crystania. Bound to her god Rumiss, she can never accept Redon and lets go of his hand.[2]
Barbas' explosion has destroyed the Fang of the Animal's fort. From the clouds of dust, Rome appears and seems to be going after Aderishia. The rock on which Redon was standing cracks and Redon is about to fall to his death when the white swan appears to save him.[3]
