In the Name of Love... (Part 1) is the seventh episode of the Louie the Rune Soldier manga and the second episode of the second tankōban in the Louie the Rune Soldier manga series.
Synopsis[]
While testing his new mage staff, Louie gets smacked down by Conrad, a horse-riding knight from Ramliearth who claims he is on the path of love. He asks Louie to take him to the Temple of Myrii. There, Louie introduces Conrad to Merrill, Genie and Melissa, but, much to everyone's surprise, Melissa already knows Conrad—she's his fiancée.
Because the marriage was arranged by her father, and Melissa has since left her family, she doesn't feel obliged to honour the arrangement. Besides, she explains, Myrii has already partnered her with Louie. Enraged, Conrad challenges Louie to a fight.
