A New Beginning is the ninth episode of the Legend of Crystania manga and the first episode of the third tankōban in the Legend of Crystania manga series.
Synopsis[]
Barbas continues to struggle to suppress Ashram's soul and wants another vessel, Redon. He has also ordered his men to retrieve the Chaos Ring and kill Sheru.[1] Redon is fully determined to fight Barbas, but Sheru does not seem happy with her new allies and hopes to lose them somewhere.
While the party journeys to Beldia, Sheru begins explaining some of her back-story: about three hundred years ago Barbas had obtained the body of her king Ashram and with it he immediately outpowered the animal gods. She wants to use the Chaos Ring to free Ashram's body from Barbas' control. After listening to Sheru's story, Redon wants to meet Ashram.[2] Garudi arrives on the scene. Redon sends Aderishia away on Grambia's back, while he does battle with Garudi and his men. During the fight, Sheru managed to get away from her new comrades. She finds Aderishia in a fight with a bear.[3]
