The Request (Part 1) is the ninth episode of the Louie the Rune Soldier manga and the fourth episode of the second tankōban in the Louie the Rune Soldier manga series.
Synopsis[]
After a training-session with Genie that didn't go well again, Louie vows to one day beat her. He decides to visit a bar but, on the way, he stumbles upon an unconscious young woman in an alley and decides to take her with him. When the young woman awakes, she introduces herself to Louie as Angela and asks if Louie is an adventurer. Louie responds he is and introduces himself as "Louie the Rune Soldier". Angela has a request for Louie, to take down the man who murdered her brother Hector. Louie accepts the request.
Elsewhere, a wounded Genie asks Bharve if she can stay over at his place. The next day Louie, Merrill and Melissa, with Angela, visit Genie at Bharve's. Angela recognizes Genie as the one who killed her brother and asks Louie to kill her. Angela was the one who stabbed Genie.
