Garshun (ガーシュン, Gāshun) is a warrior of the Fang of the Animal who holds the rank of Centurion. He is originally of the Tribe of the Tusk, who follow Bruza, the animal god king of battle. He has a lively personality and therefor often treated on friendly terms. He met Rails after Rails' encounter with Grael and, after being impressed by Rails' swordsmanship, he recommended him to become Centurion.
History[]
Garshun is a native of Iscaria, Crystania and a member of the Tribe of the Tusk, the tribe that follows Bruza, the animal god king of battle. At some point after Barbas' followers began invading Crystania, Garshun joined the Fang of the Animal, a mercenary group of members from various tribes that oppose the Gods’ King Barbas and his followers.
During an attack on a Silver Wolf village, Garshun and his allies Turnill, Nahns, Isari and Callio are alerted and go to the Gods’ Wall, where an outsider called Rails has just wounded Grael, a leader of men of the Beldian army that the Fang of the Animal opposes. Though Rails is an outsider, Garshun and the others take Rails and his companions to the Fang of the Animal fort.
When Rails shows his skills with the sword during a gambling match, Garshun is impressed and recommends Rails to be a Centurion. After Rails receives the title, the Fang of the Animal undergo a change and become more organized, which eventually led to subsequent victories by the Fang of the Animal over the Beldian army.
When Barbas' followers are unable to defeat the Fang of the Animal, the recently awoken Barbas decides to use his powers to call for a miracle, which destroys the Fang of the Animals' fortress completely. During the attack, Garshun is heavily wounded and uses the last of his strength to take out ten of Barbas' warriors. He laments not being able to see Boakes and Jenoba again and says he'll be waiting for them.

Notes[]
- Garshun appears very briefly in The First Adventurers: Legend of Crystania. Obier is participating in a gambling duel and returns wounded on his hand. At that time, Raifan and Aderishia are treating an injured Garshun, who is wounded on his shoulder. The novel doesn't literally state it, but it suggests Obier had duelled Garshun.
- Garshun makes a brief appearance in the Legend of Crystania movie. He attends a meeting with Grib, Jenoba and Matisse, but has no lines.
