Phalaris (ファラリス, Fararisu) is the god of darkness, also referred to as the “Dark God” and one of the six major gods on Forcelia. He was born from the wicked right hand of the Primordial Giant. Like the other gods, Phalaris is responsible for the creation of the world. As the world was being created Phalaris, who envisioned a world of complete freedom, came in conflict with Pharis, the god of light, who envisioned a world governed by light. This small dispute escalated and caused the other gods to side with either Phalaris, or Pharis (or remain neutral) and form camps of light and darkness. A war broke out between the two camps and Phalaris lost his (physical) life in battle.
Faith[]
Phalaris is worshipped by the people on the dark island of Marmo. Creed is a known follower of Phalaris.
Notes[]
- Phalaris may have been named after the tyrant Phalaris (ファラリス), a man from Akragas, Cisily, a Greek-speaking area in the south costal area of Italy then called Magna Graecia. Phalaris was known for his excessive cruelty. He succeeded in making himself master of the island, but was ultimately overthrown in a general uprising headed by Telemachus.
- Crystania: Legend of the Drifters 4 says Phalaris is a brother of both Pharis and Feness, the god of the moon.
