Pharis (ファリス, Farisu) is the god of light, born from the righteous left hand of the Primordial Giant. Pharis is often referred to as the supreme god and one of the six major gods on Forcelia. Pharis envisioned a world governed by the laws of light, but was opposed by Phalaris, the god of darkness, who envisioned a world of freedom. This small dispute eventually led to the other gods siding with either Pharis or Phalaris (while others remained neutral), and form camps of light and darkness. A war broke out between the two camps and Pharis lost his (physical) form in battle.
Pharis is also said to be the god of the sun. He is an older brother of Feness, once the god of the moon and now the god of the cycle.
Faith[]
Pharis is worshipped by the people of the Holy Kingdom of Valis on Lodoss Island.
Notes[]
- In Greek mythology Pharis was the son of Hermes and the Danaid Phylodámeia. Pharis founded the city Pharae in Peloponnesus, Greece.
- The name Pharis may also be derived from the Pharos, the lighthouse of Alexandria.
