Record of Lodoss War: The Fated Sorcerer is a 1989 cassette book released by KADOKAWA Cassette Book. It is the second cassette book released in the Lodoss setting. The story, written by Ryo Mizuno, takes place during the Demon Dragon of Fire Dragon Mountain novels. The story's focus lies mostly on Slayn, Leylia and Cecil, and less on Parn and Deedlit. Slayn receives a letter from a former Academy friend called Lars who seeks Slayn's help in Birruni, Alania.
