Sardi (サーディー, Sādī), also known by his alias Deni (デニ, Deni), is a thief from Raiden. He grew up on the streets of Raiden until he was taken in by the head of the Thieves’ Guild. There, he met Fourth, who he would later call his brother, and they called the head of the Thieves’ Guild their father. When their father was killed, Sardi and Sardi began a quest for vengeance and became mercenaries. This eventually led them to encounter Parn in Flaim, who was appointed leader of a portion of Kashue's army, which including Fourth and Sardi, in the Flaim civil war. Sardi accompanied Parn throughout the war.
History[]
Sardi was a small, unattractive boy who grew up as an orphan on the streets of Raiden. He was taken in by the head of the Thieves’ Guild, along with several other children, including a pretty blonde-haired boy named Fourth. He and Fourth became like brothers, while the guildmaster was their father—until the day their father was murdered. Fourth and Sardi began a quest for vengeance, which led to them impersonating mercenaries and adopting aliases—Sardi became Deni and Fourth became Pseudo.[1]
Their search as mercenaries brought them to the deserts of Flaim, where they were hired by the Flaim army to fight against the Tribe of Fire. They, along with a mercenary named Marsh, were placed under the command of Parn and fought alongside him throughout the war.
When Parn was captured by Nardia after the battle of Hilt, Sardi was part of the team that rescued him.[2] After Parn's rescue, Sardi went with Parn, Deedlit, Fourth and Marsh to visit Slayn and Leylia in Zaxon, Alania, hoping to learn more about the history behind the Flaim civil war. After their visit Sardi went with the party to the Tower of Dust Storms in the Wind and Fire Desert to find the king spirit Jinn, which they believed would help turn the war in Flaim's favour. At night in the desert, on their way to the tower, the party was attacked by sandrunners. When a sand-runner tried to attack an injured Fourth, Sardi quickly moved between and was caught by the sand-runners fangs, sacrificing himself for Fourth.[1]
