A mural of the Six Heroes from episode 5 of the 1990 OVA series
The Six Heroes (六英雄, Rokueiyū) were a group of people who fought against the Demon King during the War of the Demon King. They were originally part of an army called the Hundred Heroes, a volunteer force made of humans, elves and dwarves from all over Lodoss to fight against the demon army. The Six Heroes were the only ones of the army who survived the Demon Wars and the final battle against the Demon King.

The seventh hero[]
- Main article: Flaus
Never mentioned as one of the Six Heroes of Lodoss is the warrior priestess Flaus. When demons began terrorizing villages around Valis, Flaus set out to save the villages. While doing so, she met Beld and Wort, and later Fahn, Neese, Flaibe, and the unnamed sorceress.
To fight the Demon King, Flaus and the Six Heroes entered her Labyrinth. While all seven went inside, only six returned. Flaus had sacrificed herself to become a vassal for the Goddess Pharis and destroy the Demon King. Her companions became known as the Six Heroes. Flaus was sainted.
Poem[]
At the banquet before the War of Heroes a poem about the Six Heroes is played. A short version of the poem can be heard in episode 5 of the Record of Lodoss War OVA. The Grey Witch novel has the complete version in Chapter IV.[1]
