Although Spark is young, he is very brave and determined. Along the way to find Wagnard, he falls in love with Neese, the daughter of Slayn and Leilia. Unfortunately it is Little Neese's destiny to be sacrificed in order for Kardis to come back. Now Spark is more determined than ever to win back the girl he loves.
He is the knight archetype progagonist who replaces Parn in the latter 2/3 of the Chronicles Of The Heroic Knight. In the beginning he is rash, arrogant and determined to rise to the level of the Free Knight Parn, whom he idolizes. His skills as a leader improves during his journey, though he still gets hotheaded when surprised (he snaps at King Etoh upon the realization that Kashue's orders forbid him to take part of the conspiracy surrounding Little Neese). He has no arch-enemy (as Ashram was to Parn), but is fiercely devoted to his companions.
