Sword World Short Stories: The Heppoko Adventurer and the Island of Iodo is a light novel written by Hitoshi Yasuda and other authors, with illustrations by Yoshikazu Hamada. It is the 21st volume in the Sword World Short Stories light novel series.

- The title of the fourth story, doku wo kurawaba (毒を食らわば), is a reference to the Japanese saying doku wo kurawaba saramade (毒を食らわば皿まで), which translates as “If you eat poison, you take the [whole] plate.” It basically means that once you start something, there's no going back. Originally in the context of something bad or evil, but it is also used in a lighter sense of sitting something through to the end.
