The Gods’ Wall (神々の城壁, kamigami no jōheki), also referred to as a barrier (結界, kekkai), is an enormous green-scaled wall on the border of Crystania. The wall was created by the god Rumiss in order to seal away Crystania from all else in the world, thereby protecting the continent from any foreign chaos or evil that could disturb the Cycle that the gods had set for Crystania. Before the wall was constructed, Rumiss raised the land to insurmountable heights and then cast the wall around it. The wall has the appearance of snake's scaled skin, a result of it being created by Rumiss, who has taken the form of a snake in Crystania.
Since the creation of The Gods’ Wall, two of Crystania's lands have left the Cycle, Da’nan and Beldia. As a result, these lands were lowered to about the height of the sea and no longer enjoy protection from The Gods’ Wall. Instead, the wall now seperates these two lands from the rest of the continent.
